Thursday June 16: Arrival day
- Check in to your hotel, if you arrive early enough:
4:00 PM Swim 30 minutes and bike the run course (one lap) 13 miles on your own
- 6:00 PM Meet and greet, disucssion and preparation for Friday training.
NOTE: Athletes are encouraged to arrive by dinner, however as long as you check in by midnight and have bike ready to go, participation in camp is allowed.
Friday June 17: Cycling focus
- 6:30 AM Breakfast, pre training briefing
- 7:30 AM Start ride, distance options: 56, 112 or 120 miles. On the actual race course. The first 56 miles will be at an easy speed to go over various segments of the course and how to race it. For some that will be the extent of riding. The rest of the athletes to complete a second, faster lap.
- Upon completion of ride all athletes will do a transition run around Mirror Lake (3 miles) at race pace.
- Finish with an optional easy swim in Mirror Lake. Break until 4PM.
Friday June 18 - Afternoon
- 4:00 PM Yoga focus on relaxation, meditation, breathing and light stretching
- 6:00 PM Dinner, discussion of swim and run training and racing for Ironman, details of the Ironman Lake Placid USA course including Steve T's secret nap site :)
Saturday June 18: Swim and run focus
- 7:30 AM Breakfast, pre training briefing
- 8:30 AM Yoga
- 10:00 AM Swim on Ironman Lake Placid USA course (wetsuits recommended), distance of 1.2 or 2.4 miles
- 12:00 Noon Bike 13.1 miles (one lap of run course) easy in small ring recovery, reviewing key segments of the run course.
- 1:00 PM Run on Ironman Lake Placid USA course. Distance of 13.1 - 18 miles
Saturday June 18 - Afternoon
- 4:00 PM Yoga focus on relaxation, meditation, breathing and light stretching
- 5:00 PM Q & A regarding any aspect of triathlon.
Official finish of training camp. Group dinner TBA.
NOTE: Athletes may leave after dinner to return home, however staying to relax is recommended. Two alcoholic drinks allowed if desired :)
Sunday June 19: Official departure day (Father's Day focus :)
- Optional AM Swim and easy bike ride before heading home.
